Photo Dump Part 2

Oh my. Teething sick baby is no fun. I'm sick as well so I'm barely making it through today but here I am trying to catch up.

ASOS jeans, Matiko loafers, Ballantynes sweater (XL, sorry forgot the brand)

Witchery silk tank, Country Road glam sweats, cardi and flats (lol - unintentional!)

We've instituted Saturday Date Night which is comprised of wine, candles, cheese, crackers and just recently, Sherlock ;) hahaha

Breaking open a new Moleskine... the first few pages = IMMENSE PRESSURE!

Maxi Cosi Pria aka the Big Boy Seat - it's great cos it allows him to be rear-facing for longer (safer) but the recline is a pain in the butt for him. Safety first though right?

Me new shoesies - I normally don't spend a lot on shoes as I wear them down phenomenally fast, but these were an exception. Still, it was a pretty affordable $45 on sale. Made in Italy!

Lovely bottle from one of my dearest friends that resides abroad <3 (miss you xo)

Getting groceries on a particularly frosty morning - Bugaboo Donkey workin' hard

Jeans + suspenders from Pumpkin Patch sale, my fave Kmart Tshirts (I buy 'em XL) and some cheapy beauty products from Kmart - the lip stain is mega stay-put. It's a shame the same couldn't be said for the eyeliner (though the application is easy as pie).

The Master insists on feeding himself. It gets messy FAST.

The waterproof overalls and jacket are from Farmers (Teeny Weeny brand), $28 each on sale

Oh I'm nearly there.

Overdue Post: Photo Dump Part 1

Hi-ho! 'Tis winter and I hate it! I've no excuse for not posting!

I've 3 Photo Dumps to share - I'm cheating and splitting it into 3 because... well... it's hard looking at a huge photo-heavy post with no breaks. Here's Part 1: the Super Old Stuff.

Country Road metallic sweater, Witchery necklace, ASOS coated jeans, Michael Kors watch
Shot of ACV in warm water (plus tsp of honey) and grapefruit for a strangely healthy sort of breakfast -  hated it. It's winter dangit. I need soup and toast.

Kmart T (size 16 for oversized look), Glassons chambray, Witchery leggings, Prada tote, ASOS boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs bracelet, MK watch, Diva necklace

ASOS boots and Witchery leggings (and rug) close up - no shoesies allowed but a momentary lapse in discipline for the sake of fashion

Max blazer, Kmart T (size 16 and backwards), Korean jeans, Diva necklace

Travel atomiser and EOS lipbalms from Star Cosmetics

My fave loafers (Matiko) and my fave jeans (ASOS)

A fun Kmart onesie lol

Photo Dump: OOTDs and Other Such

Wow - where'd the week go? Is it the end of the week already?? I've been pretty slack this week; instead of doing anything productive in the creative sense, a lot of time was spent in front of the screen just catching up on GoT. I watched the first season with some interest, couldn't be bothered with the second and third but read all the synopses on them, have been up-to-date with the fourth so far and have suddenly become interested in catching up. Thus, my week is gone. And thus, I say crap like 'thus' cos my brain is all in Game-of-Thronesy-speak. How bad-ass is Tyrion? He was definitely one of my characters since the very first episode and everything I've watched so far has solidifed my enthusiasm over him - no spoilers here. Just lots of woots: wootwoot!! Everyone loves a smart man, no? ^-^

I have no real content for you today, just a photo dump - ancient stuff here. And I mean, last year sort of ancient. I could go even further back... for some reason I just have piles and piles of these sort of photos. I don't have Facebook so I've had absolutely nowhere to put these snaps. Isn't it just pitiful?? Can you imagine?? "MAN I look purdy," *snap* "WOW what a purdy photo of me lookin purdy..." ... ... ... *crickets chirp*

Thank you blog. You've justified my crazy.

What I wore to the wee man's Christening: Mango top, Zara coat, Korean skirt and shoes (forgot the brand), Cotton On belt, Alexander McQueen scarf

Kmart tank top, Jeans West singlet (layered underneath), Cotton On (Men's) chambray, Witchery leggings, Glassons studded loafers, Vero Moda anorak, Prada tote, Chanel scarf (tied onto bag), Michael Kors watch

Accessories: Marc by Marc Jacobs key pouch, Marc by Marc Jacobs rubber bracelet, MK watch, House of Harlow ring, wedding rings

Some sequinned fold up flats I keep in the car (just in case!)

Kmart sweatshirt, Splendid reversible sherpa vest, V&S jacket, ASOS jeans, ASOS leather boots

Waiting with the faux dog for the Master to awake from his slumber so we can go out

What my mornings used to look like - morning coffee, draw on the face, listen to some music while the Master slept

The battlefield

Designated area for the Master's noms. The Green Monkey brand tastes AMAZING! NZ-made, certified organic and babies love the taste.

ASOS maxi, Country Road cardigan, Cotton On belt, Kmart heels, MK watch, MJ bracelet, Belle Noel bangle

The Master's hair used to stand up on end for some reason - no product necessary, just a Saiyan baby.

ASOS shirt, ASOS jeans, Kmart heels, MJ bracelet, MK watch

The Master's big-boy seat - this thing can rear-face for toddlers so it's incredibly safe

A shoe family portrait - can you tell I'm obsessed with a certain cheapy pair from Kmart?? They were $19 and I can't tell you how many people have stopped me to compliment these babies. Added bonus: since they're block heels they're ultra comfy and steady (for heels anyway)

Watching some NFL - got to start them young. This is back when we had the baby jail going!

Xmas dinner attire: Free People dress, Country Road tank top, Belle Noel bangle, Kmart heels, Xmas accessories from dollar store

Country Road metallic knit sweater, vintage Levi's cut-offs, Wolfords, No.1 Shoes ballet flats, Mimco necklace, MK watch

Switched out the old glass dining table for this Rimu beauty

Training to become a football super star like Alessandro Del Piero ^_<

Chicken-stance - helped him keep his balance I guess when he was new to walking

Sorry about the irrelevant photo dump. I'll have some proper content this coming week - I've fully caught up with GoT so I'll be rejoining real life again. Also, The Mentalist is finished, Suits isn't back till mid-June and I've no idea how behind I am on Vampire Diaries... last episode I watched Elena had only JUST become a vampire. Die-hard fans just spluttered because I'm really REALLY behind. Yeah. So I'll be productive this week, I think! I hope! Unless some new show sucks me in... please don't!!!

Maternity Wear: Old OOTDs & Baby Bump Progression

These are a bunch of super old OOTD shots from 2 years back when I was preggo (I'm not sure of exact dates till the last few shots sorry).

8 weeks roughly (almost 2 months)
Warehouse merino sweater, Jeans West jeans, Witchery necklace

13 weeks roughly (3 months, end of first trimester)
Country Road top, Cotton On belt, cheapo jeans from Korea, Michael Kors watch, Belle Noel bangle

19 weeks
Wish dress, Glassons cardigan, Cotton On belt, Belle Noel bangle

21 weeks (4.5 months-ish)
Kmart tank top, Jeans West jeans, Witchery jacket, Alexander McQueen scarf, MK watch, Belle Noel bangle

22 weeks roughly
Witchery silk shirt, Jeans West jeans, MK watch, Belle Noel bangle

24 weeks roughly (5 months-ish)
Country Road colour-block dress

30 weeks (6.5 months-ish, in the last trimester) - deceptive angle btw
Just Jeans sequin top, Cotton On (men's) chambray, Pumpkin Patch jeans

34 weeks
Temt top (XL), Esprit shorts

37 weeks (8 months-ish)
ASOS dress, plaited trim from Lincraft worn as belt lol

38 weeks
Supre tank top, Pumpkin Patch skirt, Witchery silk tank

39 weeks
Supre tank top, Zara tank layered on top, Pumpkin Patch skirt

40 weeks (9 months)
Mango cowl neck top, Pumpkin Patch

Hehe. My OOTDs weren't that inspiring back then (especially towards the end where it was the peak of summer and I could only bear to wear a skirt and some tank tops) but that aside, Memory Lane's sure a funny thing. It's funny thinking that the toddler that runs around right now, demanding my attention and squawking and doing all sorts of adorable things, was just a lil bun back then. Just a squishy lil nugget, growing in my belly.

Anyway. I remember when I got pregnant I was super excited about all the maternity clothes I could wear, but actually, most of the time, I just wore my normal clothes. My belly didn't grow as fast or as large as I expected it would... every woman is different, but I noticed as a whole, most first time mummies don't get a noticeable baby bump until at least 20 weeks. I remember trying to justify myself to people, "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant, I swear!!" Kind of annoying when it's not a 'proper' bump and just extra squishy-ness.

That top I'm wearing in that last shot, that's no maternity top; just an ordinary cowl neck top I got in Nice the year before. In fact, almost all the tops I'm wearing in the above photos are ordinary tops - bar the first photo with the black sweater and the white tank top where I'm 21 weeks (the navy striped Temt top was just a super large ruched t-shirt that looks like maternity wear). I just happen to own a lot of flowy, roomy, stretchy tops apparently.

I like Kmart and The Warehouse for plain-coloured ruched maternity tank tops. Pumpkin Patch Maternity sometimes has some decent bottoms like jeans and skirts and tights - they also have frequent sales. Also, ASOS has a fantastic range of maternity wear. I particularly like the items from the brand New Look; chic and great price point.

No doubt, one day, when I'm preggo again, I'll be writing about new finds that are a tad more fashionable and chic. (NOT YET!)
